Saturn V 3D Model for Digistar

We’re thrilled to highlight the highly detailed Saturn V 3D model developed for the Digistar platform. The Saturn V rocket is a now-retired super heavy-lift launch vehicle that was designed in the 1960s for NASA’s Apollo program to land astronauts on the Moon and return them safely to Earth.

Created with precision, this model brings one of history’s most iconic rockets to life, allowing users to explore its intricate design within Digistar’s immersive space environment.

A Year of Detailed Work
The Saturn V model took over a year to create, with a team of 10 people, using tools like Maya, Substance Painter, Blender, and ZBrush. These tools ensured a highly detailed and accurate representation of the rocket.

Exceptional Detail and Functionality
The model is modular, allowing users to explore the rocket inside and out, with separable components for detailed inspection. Key features include the highly detailed cooling blankets on the rocket engines, and the model was optimized for Digistar’s performance needs, ensuring smooth interactions.

Collaborating for Accuracy
The team consulted engineers and used historical data to ensure the model’s accuracy, ensuring it faithfully represents the Saturn V rocket’s design and function.

The Saturn V model continues to be a valuable tool for educators, students, and space enthusiasts. Its interactive features provide a hands-on opportunity to explore the engineering and history of the Apollo missions, making it an engaging and effective way to deepen understanding of space exploration.
